Kamyar S Oladi

Kamyar S. Oladi is a Partner at Rezvanian International, focusing on international arbitration, complex commercial disputes, and construction and energy sector claims. His practice encompasses representation of multinational corporations, state-owned enterprises, and regional industry leaders in disputes under ICC, GAFTA, and various regional institutional rules. He acts both as counsel and arbitrator in high-value, technically intricate proceedings spanning the Middle East and Europe.

Kamyar advises on EPC and EPCF contracts, multiparty construction claims, cross-border supply arrangements, banking and guarantee disputes, and project-failure scenarios involving foreign financing structures. He has appeared in matters arising from major industrial and infrastructure projects, including ICC arbitrations involving sophisticated procedural, jurisdictional, and technical issues.

Before joining Rezvanian International, Kamyar served as Senior Counsel at the Tehran Regional Arbitration Centre (TRAC). During his tenure, he worked closely with leading international practitioners, contributed to institutional development, and prepared comparative studies on arbitral procedure and institutional rule design. His experience at TRAC strengthened his comparative perspective and deepened his understanding of international arbitration across civil-law and common-law jurisdictions. Kamyar previously worked as the Legal Manager at British American Tobacco, where he handled multinational ommercial matters and regulatory issues

Kamyar is the author of numerous scholarly publications in English and Persian, including works on international arbitration, third-party funding, anticipatory breach, extension of arbitration agreements, emergency measures in energy disputes, and comparative contract law. He is also the author of the Iran chapter of the Law Over Borders – Comparative Guide to Arbitration (2025 Edition), a globally recognized resource for practitioners and in-house counsel. His current research focuses on the intersection of arbitration, artificial intelligence, and procedural governance, as well as innovations in multiparty and multi-contract arbitration.

Kamyar is actively engaged in arbitration education and capacity-building, including organizing Iran’s Vis Pre-Moot and conducting training programs for young practitioners.

He holds an LL.M. from Shahid Beheshti University (National University of Iran), one of Iran’s most reputable and academically distinguished law schools, with a specialization in arbitration and comparative law. His practice philosophy combines academic rigor with strategic, solution-oriented advocacy aimed at delivering efficient and technically precise outcomes in cross-border commercial disputes.
